The Farm Gate Sales Amendment Act a private members bill introduced this week by New Democrat MLA Nicholas Simons. The Farm Gate Sales amendment act aims to amend the current Food Safety Act allowing farmers the ability to sell meat directly from their farms. (read more...). "Pitch In Too"
The hosting of our second "Pitch In Too", a farm support soup dinner, on Wednesday 25th November was a great success. We had delectable soups made from vegetables grown on the Coast. In addition we had informative speakers, a silent auction and a short Power Point presentation. The Power Point presentation is available for viewing for those of you that were unable to attend the event. "What's It All About" briefly covers:
